Cold Heading / Cold Forging

Cold heading of metal wire to produce screws, bolts, rivets and precision fasteners with excellent strength.

Overview

Our cold heading workshop forges metal wire at room temperature to efficiently produce screws, bolts, rivets, nuts and custom precision fasteners. Cold forming preserves the internal grain flow of the metal, giving finished parts outstanding strength and fatigue resistance.

Compared with machining, cold heading offers higher material utilization, greater productivity and lower unit cost — making it the process of choice for high-volume fasteners. We develop custom parts to client drawings and integrate thread rolling, heat treatment and plating into a complete fastener solution.

Process Highlights

Cold Heading / Cold Forging

High Material Yield

Near-net-shape forming wastes far less material than machining, for outstanding cost efficiency.

Cold-Work Strength

Preserved grain flow delivers significantly higher strength and fatigue performance.

Efficient Volume Output

Multi-station headers form continuously at high speed, ideal for stable high-volume supply.

Custom Fasteners

Special-shaped and non-standard fasteners developed to your drawings.

Full Process Chain

Thread rolling, heat treatment, plating and patch coating integrated in one place.

Wide Size Range

From M1.6 micro screws to large bolts — a comprehensive size coverage.

Quality Assurance

Multi-Stage Quality Control

A rigid quality management system runs through the entire production process — from incoming materials to outgoing shipments — ensuring every batch meets your standards.

  1. IQC

    Incoming Inspection

Raw materials and purchased parts are inspected upon arrival to control quality at the source.

  2. IPQC

    In-Process Inspection

First-article confirmation and patrol inspections during production catch deviations early.

  3. OQC

    Outgoing Inspection

Finished goods are sampled or fully inspected before shipment, with reports provided on request.

Request a Quote
Can you manufacture from drawings or samples?

Yes. We support development and quoting from 2D/3D drawings or physical samples. Our engineering team reviews manufacturability and suggests optimizations.

How long does sampling take? Do you support small trial runs?

It depends on the process and complexity. We support flexible arrangements from small trial runs to large-volume production, helping you move forward steadily.

How are lead times arranged?

Lead times depend on process, quantity and surface treatment. A clear production and shipping schedule is provided with every quotation.

How do you ensure product quality?

We enforce multi-stage quality control — incoming, in-process and outgoing inspection — and provide inspection reports upon request.
